Diagnostics - we know they are not the answer.

Diagnostic tools scan your website and report on accessibility issues. They are useful for identifying technical problems. They can flag some of the content issues - missing alt text, heading structure, and form label issues etc. BUT they are looking at the site, analyzing the technical detail. They report issues without real priority, mixing actions that are both yours and your vendors responsibility.

They do not manage risk. They do not remediate content. They do not train your staff. They do not handle claims. They do not cover costs. They do not oversee vendors. They do not produce reporting that secures executive buy-in or budget. They tell you what is broken. They do not fix it, manage it, or protect you from the consequences.

Organizations that rely solely on diagnostic tools are spending money on visibility without control. The reports stack up. The issues persist. The exposure remains. A diagnostic tool is one component of a complete program - typically covering ~30% of what is actually needed to manage ADA compliance as a business risk.
